BISP Assists Low-Income Women

A new skill training program is being introduced to assist members of eligible families in starting their own enterprises and escaping poverty, according to Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), who made the announcement on Tuesday.
She was addressing at the Government High School Iqbal Town in Lahore, which is home to the BISP Campsite.
Reviewing the minimal amenities offered to worthy women who come to receive the Kafaalat quarterly stipend was the goal of the visit.
Senator Rubina Khalid spoke with the female beneficiaries during her visit, heard their worries, and gave them confidence that BISP will take care of their problems.
She gave the BISP employees instructions to examine tehsil offices in order to avoid crowds at payment centers. The Chairperson was briefed on the existing payment mechanism by the BISP team.
She underlined how crucial it is to dole out rewards in a fair and open way to all worthy women.
Prior to this, Senator Rubina Khalid also spoke to members of the media at the BISP Central Zonal Office in Lahore, emphasising the significance of the initiative.
She mentioned that 9.5 million worthy households receive benefits from BISP, and the program’s reach is being increased.
While pointing out earlier attempts to rename the Benazir Income Support Program, Senator Rubina Khalid reiterated the program’s dedication to upholding Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s legacy.
She said that BISP and the Ministry of Information Technology are working together to take major action against fraud.
Beneficiaries should only put their trust in the official BISP number, 8171. In order to guarantee transparency, BISP is also implementing a new payment mechanism that involves six banks.
Senator Rubina Khalid reaffirmed the goal of BISP, which is to provide women with economic empowerment in accordance with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s vision.
Under the direction of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari, the initiative guarantees that funds are awarded to worthy women in an open and respectable way.
