P&G Pakistan Honored as Champion of Gender Equity at OICCI Women Empowerment Awards

Inducted into OICCI Hall of Fame for Sustained Leadership in Workplace Equality

Karachi: P&G Pakistan has once again made headlines for its unwavering commitment to gender equity, clinching the prestigious ‘Champion’ title at the 7th Annual OICCI Women Empowerment Awards. In a landmark achievement, the company also became one of the first inductees into the OICCI Hall of Fame, a tribute to its long-term impact in fostering an inclusive workplace and community.

Hosted by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI)—representing 200+ companies across 14 sectors and 35 countries—the awards recognize organizations setting new benchmarks in inclusive leadership, equitable policies, and workplace transformation in Pakistan.

“This dual recognition is a tremendous honor and a reflection of our consistent, values-driven journey,” said Ovais Yousuf, VP and CEO of P&G Pakistan. “More than half of our senior leadership comprises women. That’s not just a number—it’s proof that inclusive workplaces are not only achievable but also powerful in driving growth and innovation.”

At the heart of P&G’s strategy lies #WeSeeEqual, a flagship initiative focused on intersectional hiring, inclusive career progression, mental wellness, and unconscious bias training. With dedicated policies supporting Gen Z inclusion, progressive parental leave, and modern leadership development, the company continues to challenge industry norms.

M Abdul Aleem, Secretary General of OICCI, praised P&G’s achievement: “Their continued leadership sets a powerful example for the entire corporate sector. P&G’s commitment to equity and inclusive practices is transforming the way we view workplace diversity in Pakistan.”

Beyond the boardroom, P&G is making a difference at the grassroots level. In partnership with HOPE and Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance, the company has empowered over 20,000 girls through education and helped hundreds of women start micro-businesses. Its work with STEMconnector has mentored more than 1,500 women in STEM, while collaboration with NOWPDP ensures persons with disabilities are trained, mentored, and included in the workforce.

As P&G Pakistan celebrates this recognition, it also reinforces a broader mission: making equality a business priority and a social responsibility. Through sustained action and collaborative impact, the company proves that inclusive growth isn’t just possible—it’s essential.
