Honored at the 2025 World Police Summit for Solving High-Profile Murder Cases in Punjab

DUBAI: Pakistan’s ASP Anum Sher Khan has brought global recognition to the country by winning the ‘Excellence in Criminal Investigation’ award at the 2025 World Police Summit Awards, held at the World Trade Center in Dubai.
Recognized among nominees from 192 countries, ASP Khan stood out for her exceptional investigative skills in solving two high-profile murder cases in Punjab. One involved the tragic death of 12-year-old Ayesha Bibi, a domestic worker, while the other led to the swift arrest of suspects involved in the murder of a young man.
The four-day summit, themed “Beyond the Badge: Envision the Next Era of Policing,” focused on global law enforcement challenges—from cross-border crime and cybercrime to artificial intelligence, community policing, and public-private security collaboration.
“Talented police officers like ASP Anum Sher Khan are the pride and valuable asset of Punjab Police,” said Inspector-General Dr. Usman Anwar, commending her dedication to justice.
Also representing Pakistan at the summit was DPO Kasur Muhammad Isa Khan, who secured second position in the ‘Best Artificial Intelligence Implementation in Policing’ category—highlighting Pakistan’s growing expertise in modern policing technologies.
Held under the patronage of the UAE government, the World Police Summit serves as a premier international platform to spotlight innovation and excellence in law enforcement. For ASP Anum Sher Khan, this recognition not only honors her personal achievements but also shines a light on the potential of Pakistani women in uniform who are fearlessly shaping the future of policing.
