FIA Busts Trafficking Network Sending Pakistani Women to Dubai

Young women were lured with fake job offers abroad before being forced into exploitation, officials say.

Authorities in Karachi have dismantled a criminal network involved in trafficking young Pakistani women to Dubai, according to officials from the Federal Investigation Agency.

The operation was uncovered during a targeted action by the FIA’s Immigration wing at Karachi airport, following intelligence about suspicious travel arrangements.

Officials revealed that the group promised women employment in hotels overseas, but upon arrival, they were coerced into prostitution.

The case surfaced when a young woman traveling on a visit visa for alleged hotel work shared critical information with immigration authorities.

Based on her identification, FIA officers arrested a suspected human smuggler, Shahzaib, at the airport before the journey could proceed.

Investigations showed that Shahzaib arranged visas and airline tickets using funds provided by another suspect, identified as Nadeem.

The total transaction amounted to Rs. 420,000, which included Rs. 40,000 allegedly paid to an airport agent to facilitate immigration clearance.

According to an FIA spokesperson, digital evidence was also recovered during the investigation, including WhatsApp conversations.

These messages indicated links with other individuals connected to organized prostitution and human trafficking networks.

The victim has been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further legal proceedings and protection.

Shahzaib remains in FIA custody as authorities continue efforts to trace additional suspects and dismantle the wider network involved.
