US Police Officer Fired Who Making Joke of Indian Woman’s Death

An Indian student passed away last year, and the US police officer who said her life had “limited value” was fired. Officer Daniel Auderer’s remarks regarding Jaahnavi Kandula’s death, according to the Seattle Police Department, were “vile” and heartless, as The Seattle Times reported.

The 23-year-old Kandula was killed in January when she was struck by another police car while crossing a roadway close to her institution.

In reaction to the incident, Daniel Auderer was heard chuckling and stating that the woman was a “regular person” and that the city ought to “just write a cheque”.

He was talking to a coworker when his body camera recorded the footage.

The cop could be heard stating, “But she is dead,” and then giggling. It’s not a strange individual at all. Yes, just write a check,” he stated, chuckling once again.

Eleven thousand dollars. Anyhow, she was 26. She wasn’t worth much,” he said.

Social media users were outraged by the footage, which went viral there.

Sue Rahr, the interim chief of the Seattle Police Department, sent out an email to the whole department on Wednesday announcing the policeman’s termination.

She noted that his behavior had embarrassed the department as a whole as well as the police force.

Daniel Auderer’s stellar reputation among his peers and his years of community service, according to Interim Chief Rahr, could not be overshadowed by his “cruel and callous laughter” and the suffering it had caused Kandula’s family.

“I believe that letting the officer stay on our force would only further degrade the department’s reputation. That is the reason I am going to fire him,” she declared.

Following the incident, Daniel Audered was under investigation.

According to the Seattle Times, he was recommended for termination by the Office of Police Accountability, which looks into police misconduct, due to his unprofessional behavior and biased recorded comments.

Graduate student Jaahnavi Kandula attended Northeastern University in Seattle.

According to US media sources, the woman was thrown more than 100 feet (30 meters) after the officer struck her with his patrol vehicle at 74 mph (119 km/h).
