Sindh Pledges Stronger Action for Women’s Health on Global Awareness Day

CM Murad Ali Shah reaffirms Sindh’s commitment to women’s health with expanded programs and 23,000+ Lady Health Workers.

On the International Day of Action for Women’s Health, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reinforced the provincial government’s commitment to improving women’s health across Sindh.

“This day is a reminder to focus on the health challenges women face. A healthy woman builds a healthy society,” said CM Shah.

He shared that a comprehensive maternal and child health program is in full swing to protect mothers and newborns. Over 23,185 Lady Health Workers are actively delivering care directly to women’s homes.

Highlighting another major step, he praised the National Health Support Programme, backed by the World Bank, for its targeted focus on pregnant women, mothers, and newborns.

“These initiatives are shaping a healthier, more empowered future for women in Sindh,” he added, vowing to continue placing women’s health at the core of government policy.
