Bayer Pakistan Launches Innovative Endometriosis Treatment

New therapy strengthens Bayer’s commitment to women’s reproductive health in Pakistan.

Bayer Pakistan’s Pharmaceutical Division has announced the commercial launch of a new product to treat endometriosis, expanding its portfolio in women’s healthcare. Endometriosis, a painful inflammatory condition affecting women of reproductive age, causes uterine-like tissue to grow outside the uterus, leading to chronic pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, and fertility challenges.

In Pakistan, around 2.2 million women are affected by endometriosis, yet diagnosis often takes 6-7 years, leaving many to endure prolonged discomfort. Speaking at the launch, Khurram Mirza, Country Commercial Lead of Bayer Pakistan’s Pharmaceutical Division, highlighted the impact of the condition on women’s well-being, productivity, and the healthcare system. He emphasized the urgent need for innovative treatment options to improve quality of life for patients.

Bayer, a global leader in women’s health, aims to provide 100 million women in low- and middle-income countries with access to family planning by 2030. In Pakistan, the company offers a broad range of contraceptive solutions and therapies for reproductive health conditions, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to improving healthcare access and outcomes.

With this new treatment, Bayer Pakistan reinforces its mission to enhance the quality of life for women, provide timely solutions for reproductive health challenges, and contribute to the overall health of the population.
