UMT’s Power-Packed Seminar Celebrates Women Empowerment and Leadership
UMT, in partnership with Let’s Sprouts & The Lawgical, hosts “Her Legacy” to spotlight inspiring women leaders, female entrepreneurs, and the legacy of Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad (Shaheed).

The University of Management and Technology (UMT) hosted a landmark event titled Her Legacy in collaboration with “Let’s Sprouts” and “The Lawgical,” celebrating women’s empowerment, leadership, and achievements across various sectors of society.
The event brought together thought leaders, policymakers, and changemakers to honor the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of women. Pakistan Observer Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, adding prestige to the impactful gathering.
The lineup of distinguished chief guests included MPA Hina Parvez Butt, MPA Sarah Ahmad, Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bader, and Dr. Noushaba Hasan Murad. Their presence and powerful messages echoed the need for gender equity and stronger support systems for women in Pakistan.
Organized by Miss Ubaida Faiz, the visionary founder of Let’s Sprouts, along with Mr. Faisal Ch., Managing Partner of The Lawgical, the event stood as a celebration of courage, innovation, and leadership in the face of societal challenges.
One of the most moving highlights of Her Legacy was the launch of the biography Ilm, Amal, Zindagi (Knowledge, Action, Life), a tribute to UMT’s late founder, Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad (Shaheed). The book offers a glimpse into his visionary work in education and his unwavering commitment to social change.
During her speech, MPA Hina Parvez Butt stressed that no nation can progress without empowering its women. She emphasized stricter actions against crimes involving women and children and called for a more inclusive society. MPA Sarah Ahmad highlighted the role of women entrepreneurs and commended the Child Protection Bureau’s ongoing efforts to equip women with life-changing skills and resources.
Zulfikar Ali Badr, recognizing UMT’s dedication to education, emphasized the importance of a strong, collaborative ecosystem to help women realize their leadership potential. Meanwhile, Dr. Noushaba Hasan Murad advocated for sustainable development frameworks that prioritize women’s empowerment and reaffirmed UMT’s mission to drive social progress through quality education.
The seminar also featured stories from women entrepreneurs and professionals who shared real-life experiences, practical challenges, and inspiring successes. Their narratives reflected the broader theme of the event — resilience, innovation, and unity.
The event concluded with a heartfelt appreciation ceremony, where Dr. Noushaba Hasan Murad presented certificates of acknowledgment to the esteemed guests and contributors, closing the seminar on a high note.
Her Legacy served not only as a celebration but also as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue around women’s roles in shaping Pakistan’s future. With strong support from institutions like UMT and partners like Let’s Sprouts and The Lawgical, the path to equality and empowerment continues to grow stronger.
