Skardu will get its first women-only bus on Wednesday
After successful launch of pink busses in Gilgit-Baltistan, Sakardu will get it part on Wednesday.
Pink busses are first-of-its-kind project to facilitate women travel.
Women-only pink bus service hitted the roads in the capital city of Gilgit on 4th October 2022.
According to chief secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani, the same will start in Hunza and Nagar within Let the efforts gro!
Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani said that under the project, inaugurated by Khalid Khurshid, the chief minister, the free-of-cost pink service will operate on four key routes between 6:00 am to 9:00 am and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
In Gilgit, hundreds of girls and women have started using free wheels on 4 routes. It has provided them with security, access and reduction of financial burden.
