Lahore: 3rd National Schools and Colleges Throwball Championship starteda t WAPDA Sports Complex, Lahore under the auspices of Pakistan Throwball Federation and in Collaboration with Wahaj Colleges Group.
Director General, WAPDA Sports Board, Musharaf Khan was the chief guest and inaugurated the 3-days Championship.
President, Pakistan Throwball Federation, Razaq Gill, Secretary General, Maqbool Arain, Organizing Secretary, Asghar Anjum and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.
Two categories competitions are being played in the Championship namely boys and girls.
About 50 Schools and Colleges from all over the country are participating in the Championship.
In the opening day results;
Interested School Lahore beat The City School Red, 2-1 sets in the ‘O’ level girls event and Habib Girls School beat becounhouse Lahore, 2-0 Sets in the ‘A’ Level Girls competitions.
In the Open Girls Catogires; NTA beat LCW by 2-0 Sets while Graceful School beat The City School Yellow by 2-0 Sets in the ‘O’ Level Boys competitions.
The concluding ceremony of the Championship will be held on February 26, at 4.30 p.m, in which Trophies, Medals, Certificates and Cash Prizes (Rupees One Lac) will be delivered to the winning teams.
