Two Pakistani Startups Named Among Top 100 Female Founders for Aurora Tech Award 2026
Global recognition highlights the rise of women-led innovation from Pakistan

Two women-led Pakistani startups have earned a place among the Top 100 female founders for the Aurora Tech Award 2026 — a major global recognition by inDrive that celebrates women transforming emerging markets through technology. The award not only acknowledges innovation but also provides up to US$50,000 in non-dilutive funding, personalized mentorship, international exposure, and access to global investors, giving founders the momentum to scale their impact.
Awais Saeed, Country Head of inDrive Pakistan, praised the achievement, noting that women entrepreneurs in the country are stepping forward with powerful ideas despite limited access to capital and visibility. He highlighted that initiatives like the Aurora Tech Award open doors for female founders by giving them the platform and support they need to grow and serve their communities.
Past finalists have also experienced the long-term impact of the recognition. Pakistani tech entrepreneur Faiza Yousuf, a 2023 finalist, shared how the award elevated her startup’s profile and strengthened her resolve to keep building solutions that address real problems. Her experience continues to inspire women-led ventures across the nation.
Applications from Pakistan this year represented a diverse blend of EdTech, AI and machine learning, HealthTech, energy sustainability, and gaming technologies. Many of these startups aligned their missions with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, tackling challenges such as access to quality education, improved healthcare, gender equality, and sustainable innovation.
With 3,400 applications from 127 countries, the 2026 edition of the Aurora Tech Award reached a record level of interest, reflecting the growing global confidence in women-led technology ventures. Finalists will be revealed in February 2026, followed by a global ceremony later in the year to honor the winners.
In Pakistan, inDrive continues to expand its contribution beyond mobility services. While offering reliable transport and livelihood opportunities, the company is also investing in the country’s future through programs that uplift communities and empower innovators. The Aurora Tech Award stands as a testament to inDrive’s commitment to strengthening the role of women in shaping the next wave of technological progress.
