A day-long symposium on “An Alarming Population Growth in Pakistan” is being held in Islamabad today.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the symposium to express national resolve for addressing the issue of rapid population growth in the country.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar will also address the event with focus on “Call for Action” to cope with the population explosion in Pakistan.
Prominent experts and distinguished scholars will also highlight new demographic realities of Pakistan, family planning in the context of mother and child health, quality of population and productivity and advocacy campaign for population planning in the country.
A documentary on population dynamics will be presented at the event, while renowned vocalist Shahzad Roy will present the theme song.
