A mother and son died due to heavy rain

A mother wife of Kashif Yaseen and son name Mustafa Yaseen have been killed when a flashflood reached their basement in a house at sector E11/2 in Islamabad Wednesday early morning.
The heavy monsoon rains in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have flooded the streets and main roads, creating immense difficulties for the residents of twin cities. Many cars have been flooded away.
Deputy Commisioner Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat claimed to clear all the sites in E11.
Cloudburst in Islamabad has caused flooding in various areas. Teams are clearing nullahs/roads. Hopefully we will be able to clear everything in an hour. Everyone is requested to plz cooperate and restricted unnecessary movement for next 2 hours.

Meanwhile Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement said that the contingents of the Pakistan Army have arrived at the rain-hit areas. The authorities have also issued alerts in different areas. The water level has also risen in Nullah Lai and emergency authorities have been deployed in Gawalmandi.
According to the MET office, 122-millimeter rain has been recorded in different parts of the twin cities.
Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi, teams have been deployed in low-lying areas of the city to deal with any emergency situation.
On the other side, heavy rains have also lashed Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Jhelum.
As per Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain wind/thundershower (with Isolated heavy fall) is expected in Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the next two days.
