Pakistani Woman Who Crossed Border Into India Handed Over to Pakistani Rangers
The BSF in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district caught Humra on March 17 and returned her on humanitarian grounds.
A Pakistani woman who infiltrated into India and was caught by the Border Security Force (BSF) in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district has been handed over to the Pakistani Rangers, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
Illegal Border Crossing and Capture
The woman, identified as Humra, was apprehended on March 17 after she illegally crossed the Indo-Pak border near Anupgarh in Sriganganagar. Following her capture, she was transferred to local police for further investigation.
Return on Humanitarian Grounds
Considering the humanitarian aspect, the BSF safely handed her over to Pakistani Rangers from the Anupgarh border area. Officials emphasized that the decision was made to ensure a peaceful resolution of the situation.
Security Measures at the Indo-Pak Border
The India-Pakistan border remains highly sensitive, with strict security protocols in place to prevent unauthorized crossings. However, incidents like these are occasionally resolved through diplomatic and humanitarian efforts.
The BSF’s gesture highlights the importance of humane considerations in handling border security matters while maintaining strong surveillance and ensuring national security.
