ED Uyghurs Human Rights says Pakistan need to look over China’s Influence

Omer Kanat, Executive Director (ED) Uyghurs Human Rights has said that the Pakistan Government should not allow any working group under the influence of another Government to operate on its soil.

Talking to a media person, ED Uyghurs Human Rights said the Chinese Consulates in Pakistan have created several organizations and association such as; “All Pakistan-Chinese Overseas Youth Federation”, Ex-Chinese Association Rawalpindi, Ex-Chinese association G.B” in different cities of the country, are operated under the influence of the Chinese Embassy. He added that these associations have some members from Uyghurs.

He raised the concern that “these associations have been created to control the Uyghurs by incentives like distributing money,” he further added. “if you any one didn’t agree with them for any work then they would threaten and harass you. Omer Kanat, said it is the prime responsibility of the Pakistan Government to protect its citizens’ ‘.

Omer added that the United Nations High Commissioner published a report about the situation of Uyghurs and she said that crimes were being committed against humanity happening in Xinjiang. He also pointed out that Pakistan as an independent Muslim state should also protect the rights of others.
