Commander Balochistan Cops directed speedy development of Bibi Nanee bypass

Commander Balochistan Corps Lt Gen Asif Ghafoor visited Bibi Nanee bridge where people were stranded for last three days due to collapsed section of the bridge. According to ISPR, commander directed speedy development of bypass by morning 29 Aug. An army medical team, cooked food and drinking water have also been sent through helicopter.

Commander also visited relief camp at Ab-e-gum for affecttees of Mach and surrounding areas and interacted with displaced persons. Commander said that Pak Army and FC stand with them for their earliest rehabilitation besides continuing efforts for their immediate relief in the camp. Commander appreciated local youth for coming forward and joining hands in rescue and relief efforts.

Later, Chairman NHA also met Commander Balochistan Corps. Commander informed Chairman about bypass effort in hand by troops and asked Chairman to initiate and speed up their efforts to restore all road links of Balochistan within and to rest of the country as early as possible for which all assistance from Army is available.
