Message by Senator Nuzhat Sadiq, National Commissioner Pakistan Girl Guides Association
The outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19) continues to infect thousands across the world and unfortunately, the virus is now spreading in Pakistan as well. In this regard we need to be vigilant and have to take emergency preventive measures.
We must act together to slow the spread of the virus and look after each other. This is a time for prudence, not panic. We must learn the facts and not be taken by fear.
Even though the situation has been classified as a pandemic, it is one we can control. We can slow down transmissions, prevent infections and save lives. But that will require individual and collective efforts.
All of us have a responsibility to follow medical advice and take simple, practical steps recommended by health authorities.
Due to the health concerns presented by COVID-19, Pakistan Girl Guides Association has suspended all gatherings and activities with Guides until 14th April, 2020.
However, we are adhering to our Guide values in caring for each other and caring for the world and all those around us. We are in this together and we will get through this, together. Inshallah
